When a family turns their private lakeside property into a multi-day wedding venue, the flowers can’t just be pretty. They have to perform.
Paige and Blake’s tented wedding in Maine took place at a family home on Long Lake in Naples. Over the course of a weekend, their private estate became the setting for lakeside dinners, a welcome cruise, a romantic ceremony, cocktails at golden hour, and a clear-frame tent reception that carried on long after the fireworks faded. A tented wedding in Maine always comes with layers of logistics. And when that tent sits on private property, those layers multiply! And that’s exactly where thoughtful floral production matters most.
The weekend began with an al fresco rehearsal dinner on the lawn overlooking the lake. Crisp white linens were layered with blue embroidered napkins and runners that coordinated beautifully with the paper suite. Café lights strung overhead created a soft glow as guests dined lakeside.
Florals featured a clean white and blue base, accented with intentional pops of red and orange, which was a playful nod to early fall against the cool lake backdrop.

Paige and Blake initially wanted a fall palette, but about halfway into planning, they decided to let go of the original direction and lean into something softer. They began to draw inspiration from the English Countryside, and we moved into a palette that was less expected and more romantic.
The ceremony overlooking the lake became our anchor. Instead of crisp autumn tones, we moved toward wild textures and mixed prints. The feeling of an English countryside garden in late summer. Green and lavender carried the design, softened with blush, mauve, burgundy, and cream. Nothing stiff, and nothing overly composed. Every bloom was placed to feel as if it had grown there naturally.

When designing a tented wedding, especially on a private estate, logistics are everything. Ceiling heights, heat retention, structural weight limits, and installation timing all inform our floral mechanics. As foam-free florists, we are meticulous about engineering installations that are not only visually stunning but also structurally sound and sustainable.
Cascading overhead installations created drama and movement without overwhelming the space. Even the tablescapes were curated down to the smallest detail! We worked with the couple and their planner, She Luxe Wed, to select the best vessels, candleholders, seasonal blooms, and even fruit accents. Every element worked together to create an immersive environment.
Rich tones of burgundy, blush, mauve, and cream danced against soft greens and pops of lavender. Taper candles lined long tables, amplifying warmth and intimacy as daylight faded over the lake. And the photography by Amanda Young Photography captured every detail perfectly.

One of the most important aspects of a multi-day tented celebration is collaboration. When a private property is transformed into a fully operational event venue, florals must work in harmony with tenting crews, lighting teams, caterers, rental partners, and planners.
We don’t just “drop flowers.” We engineer environments.
From rehearsal dinner to ceremony to reception to afterparty, we think about guest movement, sightlines, transitions, repurposing opportunities, and sustainable strike processes. Foam-free mechanics require careful pre-building, including hydration strategy and weight calculation. Especially when suspending installations over guests or working in fluctuating Maine weather conditions.
This level of production is what we love most. It’s layered. It’s technical. And when done well, it feels effortless.
Paige and Blake’s wedding weekend was a true study in texture, color, and thoughtful transformation. If you’re planning a tented wedding in Maine and want florals that are as intentional behind the scenes as they are breathtaking in photos, we would love to begin designing with you.
